Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Green Park, Westminster, the Royal Mews, The King’s Gallery and Victoria Palace Theatre are all close by. Chelsea, Mayfair and Knightsbridge are also within easy reach for shopping, strolling and entertaining evenings.

The Goring opened in 1910, built by Otto Goring as the last grand hotel of the Edwardian era. It was one of the first hotels in the world to offer en-suite bathrooms and central heating in every bedroom, and has welcomed monarchs, prime ministers and all manner of historical figures ever since.

The Goring is owned and run by the Goring family, now in its fourth generation. It remains London’s only five-star hotel still run by the family that built it – rather a rarity these days.

Yes. The Fitness Room is complimentary for hotel guests and includes Technogym equipment and weights. For those who prefer fresh air with their exertion, our Concierge can suggest scenic running routes through the nearby Royal Parks.

Check-in is generally from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. Please confirm your timings when booking, just to keep everything as smooth as polished silver.

Yes. Airport transfers can be arranged on request through the hotel team, with two-way airport transfers included on request for The Royal Suite.

Of course. Babies and toddlers are very welcome, and we can arrange professional babysitting services through the Concierge if required.

Yes. On request, we can provide cots, baby baskets with essentials, bath and changing mats, bottle warmers and sterilisers, baby monitors, new bottles and nappies in various sizes.

It’s an easy stroll to Buckingham Palace – time it right for the Changing of the Guard – then on through Green Park, St James’s Park and Hyde Park. Kensington Palace and the Diana Memorial Playground are also close enough for a very worthwhile adventure.

Yes. Afternoon Tea is served daily in The Veranda, with Saturdays also available in The Dining Room. Scones, naturally, are taken seriously.

Traditional Afternoon Tea is £85 per person. Bollinger Tea is £90, Bollinger Rosé Tea is £95 and Prestige Tea is £105 per person. Prices may change, so please check the current menu when booking.

Afternoon Tea includes a seasonal amuse-bouche, finger sandwiches, plain and raisin scones, pastries and a choice of teas or other drinks. Champagne options are available for those who believe tea should sparkle.
