Afternoon Tea

The Goring celebrates this much-loved English tradition with a creative, delicious Afternoon Tea service.

To celebrate this momentous year in history, The Goring’s talented pastry team have curated an exquisite menu to celebrate the English pastime. With fabulous cakes and sandwiches worthy of the occasion, this afternoon tea is one of the tastiest ways to mark the Platinum Jubilee and honour our Monarch.

With sandwiches ranging from Coronation chicken to Roast sirloin beef and the most fabulous cakes including a strawberry and raspberry Crown Diplomat tart and Her Majesty's Royal fruit cake, this particular Afternoon Tea is a most regal affair. Certainly one not to be missed.

The Goring has been perfecting the art of Afternoon Tea since it opened its doors over a century ago. As the holder of The British Tea Guild Council’s Top London Afternoon Tea Award and The Award of Excellence, we continue to delight guests with delicious pastries, fruity homemade jams and high quality tea blends. The menu changes to offer the freshest, locally-sourced fruits in line with the season.

Afternoon Tea is served in the luxurious, five-star surroundings of The Veranda every day. However please note that on Saturdays Afternoon Tea is served in The Dining Room.

Afternoon Tea is an indulgence, so complement the experience with a glass of Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne or Bollinger Rosé Champagne along with the sweetest hand-picked strawberries. We also offer a gluten-free tea, which can be requested in advance.
