We’re proud to own London’s largest private garden, tucked away rather unexpectedly behind the hotel in a secluded corner of Belgravia. Utterly peaceful yet steps from some of London’s most famous landmarks, it has the feel of a quintessential English country garden. Bees buzz, birds chirrup and our beautifully-planted borders and expansive lawn transport our guests to the countryside. Come for a stroll, a snooze in a deckchair, a sniff of our scented flowers or a game of croquet. The Goring Garden is yours to enjoy however you like.

Drinks, deckchairs and debatable croquet etiquette
While you’re here, what can we get you? Is it Pimm’s o’clock yet? The Garden comes into its own every season. In winter, a cosy corner of The Garden is bedecked in fairy lights and sheepskins offering a spot for a warming toddy, while in summer Champagne corks pop as we celebrate simply being alive. When the sun shines, take your morning coffee and the paper in a deckchair or indulge in a lightly-competitive game of croquet with a fruity glass of Pimm’s.
Tea with a view
Sandwiches and sunshine
Afternoon Tea on the light-filled Veranda overlooks the majesty of our Garden, a fitting accompaniment to dainty sandwiches, fluffy scones and a chilled glass of Bolly. When the weather warms up, The Verandah windows are flung open and you can hear the sounds of our beautiful English garden as you sip your tea and savour our famous Coronation chicken sandwiches.
The hotel sits on a quiet private mews and has a vast mature garden – ideal for picnics and fizz in summer.
