About The Goring

Run by the same family for over a century

The Goring has been championing fine food and good times since 1910, when our founder, Otto Goring, built his hotel for the pleasure of his guests. The great and the good of London came then, as they come now — to revel in the spirit of English high society at its most fun.

  • Over a century of English eccentricity

    Edwardian Style

1910 was a time when London really knew how to enjoy itself. The Victorian era was over, World War I was yet to come, and this was a time of raucous suppers and extravagant Edwardian balls – a sense of high-spirited fun laced with mischief, which still runs through The Goring today.

London’s Smartest Address

A leisurely stroll from London’s top sites

Set on an elegant Belgravia street, just a royal wave away from St James’s park and a stroll from Chelsea, Westminster and Mayfair (and a spy’s whisper from MI5’s HQ). There is, quite simply, no smarter address in London, and we have the inside track on how to experience it all in style.

Suites fit for royalty

Make yourself at home

Really, staying at The Goring is more like stepping into your own private London residence, where comfort is king and style is a given. Created by leading British designers, relax with views over our lush gardens or onto our peaceful Belgravia street.

  • The Garden

Central London’s most spacious private garden

A large, leafy oasis in the heart of bustling London, The Goring’s gardens are a peaceful enclave to lounge about with a book, a pal or a chilled glass of something delicious while doing very little at all.

  • The Cocktail Bar

What you need is a drink

And we can help with that. Take a seat at The Cocktail Bar to watch our mixologists in their element. Order a classic or try our signature ‘Thank you, Your Majesty’ (raspberry and yuzu syrup, vodka and champagne), sipped by the open fire during winter or outside in our famous garden on a summer evening.

A favourite among the elite since its inception in 1910, this is the only hotel to have ever been granted a Royal Warrant by the Queen with impeccable standards felt by all who grace the halls.
